CCN Domestic Violence Conference is Huge Success

The Creative Communication Network-sponsored Domestic Violence conference on Friday, October 20, was a great success.

Thanks to Springcreek Church for hosting this event, and for the vendors who shared their products and services with the attendees.  The conference benefited Hope’s Door New Beginning Center in Garland.  Here is a group of participants listening to John Sharp about Battering Intervention:

Most importantly, I want to thank the six speakers who each shared a perspective about “Are We Winning the War On Domestic Violence?‘  All of the attendees are more up-to-date, and better informed, as a result of spending time at the conference.

Krayer to Address UTA Latino Association on October 16

Karl J. Krayer, President of Creative Communication Network, will be the program speaker for the University of Texas at Arlington ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America) on October 16 at noon.

His program, “Get Into Your Learning Zone,” motivates listeners to live in ways consistent with a dynamic and evolving world, rather than a static one.  This is a summary of his program:

We operate out of our comfort zones.  When circumstances require us to do things differently, we can view them as opportunities to develop and grow.  Rather than focus upon gaps, opportunities, and weaknesses that prevent you from succeeding, identify and leverage your strengths for greater success.  Use your strengths to perform in challenging circumstances that you may be not as good in, or may have never tried to succeed with.

ALPFA LogoALPFA is the largest Latino association for business professionals and students dedicated to enhancing opportunities for Latinos and building leadership.  It has chapters nationwide, with more than 22,000 members.

At UTA, ALPFA provides many benefits to aspiring students interested in accounting, finance, marketing, management, information systems, or other related fields. All UTA Students are invited.  Benefits of student membership include access to scholarship opportunities, skills development workshops, professional growth, networking with key hiring professionals and sponsors, access to Fortune 500 jobs and internships, and discounts on various ALPFA events.

Krayer (Ph.D., University of Oklahoma, 1982), is an adjunct professor in the UTAKarlLeadershipTrainingPictureDallas2017Cropped College of Business, teaching Management courses in Business Communication, Management Process Theory, and Organizational Behavior.  He received his B.A. from UTA in 1976, before going on to graduate school.  This is his twentieth year as President of Creative Communication Network, which offers training, workshops, keynote presentations, facilitation, custom consulting, and executive coaching to organizations.

Two More Ways We Help You Improve Your Speaking

We are always excited about helping professionals speak better.  You are likely aware that we have recently concluded two offerings of our Speech Class Refresher workshop.  That is not the only way that we help.  Here are two more:

SpeechCoachingPicture1If you would like intensive micro-skill practice that will greatly improve your performance as a speaker, we offer a 2-day program entitled “Speak Up!  Speak Out!  Say It Well!  This program is limited to six participants  You will practice each skill, then immediately, receive coaching on video with one of us.  We have taught this in major companies, including TXU Energy, L-3 Communications, Resource One Credit Union, Nokia, and Dr Pepper / Snapple Group.  We will guarantee that you will see dramatic improvement.  Our next public offering of this program is contingent upon the interest we receive.  Please let us know if you would like to do this, and we will get back with you about potential dates, and answer any logistical questions you may have.

If you have an intact presentation that you would like us to give you intensive coaching for, we SpeechCoachingPicture3are able to do that for you.  This is particularly useful if this presentation is one that you give regularly, or that you are about to give in the very near future.  The coaching session is one-half day, to allow for several trials, and also some start-stop repetition to allow you to master some specific skills.  We also record the speech, and review it with you during the session.   In addition, if you would like us to attend an actual presentation that you will give for a live audience, record it, and provide you with feedback afterwards, we are glad to do so.  Please note that we are unable to offer the attendance option if you have not completed the coaching session with one of us first.  Let us know of your interest in this.

You can reach us at:  .  We are happy to answer your questions in an e-Mail, or call you back to talk.
