Here is the May, 2022 New York Times List of Best-selling Business Books – Yes, Atomic Habits by James Clear is again/still at the #1 spot.
Yes, Atomic Habits by James Clear is still/again/seemingly always at the #1 spot on the New York Times list of best-selling business books. I really have never seen anything like this. I presented my synopsis of this book at the December, 2018 First Friday Book Synopsis, our monthly event in Dallas. It has pretty much been at this top spot throughout the pandemic, and in the months that we have begun to come out of the pandemic. It obviously is offering genuine help to those whose lives need some order; some good habits.
Of the ten books on this month’s list, we have presented six of them at our monthly First Friday Book Synopsis events; now in our 25th year. And, I have added another from this month’s list to present in June.
I have presented my synopses of Atomic Habits, Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order, Dare to Lead, and Extreme Ownership. And I will present my synopsis of CEO Excellence at the June First Friday Book Synopsis.
And, my former colleague Karl Krayer presented his synopses of Grit, and Thinking, Fast and Slow.
In addition to our sessions of the First Friday Book Synopsis, I also present synopses for companies and organizations. Just this week, I presented my synopsis of Dare to Lead by Brené Brown for a team of leaders at an international company. It is a terrific book for leaders to learn from, and ponder…
As we all know… the more good books we read, the more we know. And, then, it is up to us to put the lessons we learn into practice.
(Of course, it is better if you read the books for yourself. But our synopses, with comprehensive, multi-page handouts, provide many of the key lessons and takeaways from these books. You can order our synopses, with audio recordings of our presentations and our handouts, from this web site. See below for details).
